La Crosse, Wis. – Kwik Trip launched a game changing new technology today at its corporate headquarters: a compressed natural gas fueling station.
Bill Feehan, candidate for Wisconsin’s 32nd state Senate district, was there to help Kwik Trip mark their leap forward.
“Kwik Trip has demonstrated that innovative people and new ideas are what move our society into the future,” Feehan said.
“On the campaign trail, I always tell people about how the most remarkable advances in history have come from people taking a chance and putting their ideas into practice.”
“Innovation is a bottom-up process, and it’s interesting to note that Kwik Trip has embarked on this new technology because it makes good economic and environmental sense, not because it was mandated from Madison or Washington.”
The compressed natural gas fueling station at its La Crosse distribution center is the first such station in Western Wisconsin, and it offers the most diverse range of alternative fuels in one location in the country.
“What Kwik Trip rolled out today will raise our standard of living by lowering the cost of bringing products to shelves. Just as past innovations have improved our standard of living exponentially, this innovation will create economic activity in many industries.”
“I’m optimistic about the future,” Feehan said. “Advances like this show us that the drive and innovation of the American people will lead to a more prosperous future for everyone.”
